EVERYPlant Great Basin Bristlecone Pine 3 --16 Models-- 3D model

Description

Name: Great Basin Bristlecone Pine

Scientific: Pinus longaeva

This Variation: 3 of 4. This is a High Poly model. A Low Poly version is also available.

Notes: A long-living species of bristlecone pine tree found in the higher mountains of California, Nevada, and Utah. It includes the tree named Methuselah, which is 4,855 years old and has been credited as the oldest known living non-clonal organism on Earth. To protect it, the exact location of this tree is kept secret. The tree grows in large open stands and generally does not form closed canopies, usually covering only 15-50%. The tree is a vigorous primary succession species, growing quickly on new open ground, but is a poor competitor in good soils and the species does best in harsh terrain. It is often the dominant species in high-elevation dolomite soils, where few plants can grow.

Included in this Package: 16 models in total

  1. Standard -- 105,005 polygons, 211,316 vertices -- 13.08m tall. Green, fully mature and in good health. Useable in most scenes.
  2. Thriving -- 107,734 polygons, 217,951 vertices -- 13.08m tall. Peak health.
  3. Unhealthy -- 76,643 polygons, 143,141 vertices -- 13.08m tall. Relatively poor state with much of its foliage missing or diseased.
  4. Dying -- 54,796 polygons, 91,851 vertices -- 12.5m tall. Just hanging onto life and showing only unhealthy and diseased foliage.
  5. Dead -- 32,513 polygons, 46,412 vertices -- 12.83m tall. Showing only bare and broken branches and dead foliage.
  6. Stump -- 18,852 polygons, 25,803 vertices -- 7.04m tall. A dead tree with its trunk broken.
  7. Uprooted -- 34,011 polygons, 48,591 vertices -- 8.5m tall. Dead tree fallen onto its side.
  8. Ancient -- 143,156 polygons, 252,710 vertices -- 18.71m tall. Very old tree, larger and considerably gnarled.
  9. Young -- 45,648 polygons, 99,400 vertices -- 9.49m tall. Smaller, some half way through its maturing cycle.
  10. Immature -- 3,414 polygons, 5,968 vertices -- 3.06m tall. Very small and young.
  11. Sapling -- 623 polygons, 1,338 vertices -- 57.63cm tall. Recently sprouted.
  12. Lower Poly -- 65,388 polygons, 166,566 vertices -- 13.08m tall. Standard model with fewer polys to save system resources. Intended for mid or distant renders.
  13. Higher Poly -- 164,673 polygons, 283,796 vertices -- 13.08m tall. Standard model with more polys for greater detail. Intended for close-up renders.
  14. Quads -- 117,837 polygons, 237,569 vertices -- 13.08m tall. Quad polygons throughout (as opposed to mixed, which is much more efficient). Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
  15. Triangles -- 198,138 polygons, 212,553 vertices -- 13.08m tall. Triangle polygons throughout (as opposed to mixed, which is much more efficient). Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
  16. Uniform Mesh -- 130,580 polygons, 234,728 vertices -- 13.08m tall. Uniform meshing throughout (as opposed to adaptive). For easier editing. Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).

Re-meshing and any reasonable modification available upon request. No charge to existing customers of the product.

The textures included are mainly 4k (4096x4096); additional texture sizes of medium 2k, small 1k, and tiny <1k textures can also be downloaded. Separated alpha maps can be download as well.

EVERYPlant has a mission ... which is to model every plant species in the world (plus some extinct, fantasy and sci-fi variations as well)! Okay, maybe not every plant! If you don't see it in our store, please get in contact; we have thousands of species on file awaiting upload.
