Description
Name: Beach Cabbage LowPoly
Scientific: Scaevola taccada
This Variation: 1 of 4. This is a Low Poly model. A High Poly version is also available.
Notes: A flowering plant found in mangrove swamps and rocky or sandy coastal locations in the tropical areas of the Indo-Pacific. It is a common beach shrub throughout the Arabian Sea, the tropical Indian Ocean and the tropical islands of the Pacific Ocean. It is a large bush that grows up to about 3–10 metres typical of littoral zones where it grows very close to the sea exposed to the salt spray, usually on sandy or pebbly soils. It is amongst the first pioneer plant colonisers on tropical atolls and sandbanks. Besides seeds, it is easily propagated from cuttings. It prefers well drained sandy soils and it is a very salt tolerant scrub. However, its roots cannot stand direct seawater that rises frequently. Its leaves are slightly succulent about 8–25cm long, closely alternate or in a spiral and crowded at the stem tips; it flowers every time of the year in fan-like clusters. The plant is often featured prominently on tropical island postcards and wallpapers.

-
Standard -- 6,984 polygons, 14,892 vertices -- 4.07m tall. Green, fully mature and in good health. Useable in most scenes.
-
Thriving -- 7,153 polygons, 15,354 vertices -- 4.07m tall. Peak health.
-
Unhealthy -- 5,439 polygons, 10,634 vertices -- 4.02m tall. Relatively poor state with foliage missing or diseased.
-
Dying -- 2,910 polygons, 4,485 vertices -- 3.9m tall. Just hanging onto life and showing only unhealthy and diseased foliage.
-
Dead -- 2,348 polygons, 3,271 vertices -- 3.78m tall. Showing only bare and broken branches and dead foliage.
-
Ancient -- 7,141 polygons, 15,106 vertices -- 4.87m tall. Very old plant, larger and considerably gnarled.
-
Young -- 4,953 polygons, 10,517 vertices -- 3.94m tall. Smaller plant, some half way through its maturing cycle.
-
Immature -- 506 polygons, 842 vertices -- 1.89m tall. Very small and young plant.
-
Sapling -- 73 polygons, 169 vertices -- 21.71cm tall. Recently sprouted, may not have any leaves.
-
Lower Poly -- 6,417 polygons, 14,054 vertices -- 4.07cm tall. Fewer polys to save system resources. For mid or distant renders. Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
-
Higher Poly -- 9,814 polygons, 18,376 vertices -- 4.07cm tall. More polys for greater detail. For close-up renders. Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
-
Quads -- 8,070 polygons, 17,448 vertices -- 4.07cm tall. Quad polygons throughout (as opposed to mixed, which is much more efficient). Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
-
Triangles -- 13,160 polygons, 15,135 vertices -- 4.07cm tall. Triangle polygons throughout (as opposed to mixed, which is much more efficient). Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
-
Uniform Mesh -- 7,187 polygons, 14,864 vertices -- 4.07cm tall. Uniform meshing throughout (as opposed to adaptive). For easier editing. Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
Re-meshing and any reasonable modification available upon request. No charge to existing customers of the product.
The textures included are mainly 4k (4096x4096); additional texture sizes of medium 2k, small 1k, and tiny <1k textures can also be downloaded. Separated alpha maps can be download as well.
EVERYPlant has a mission ... which is to model every plant species in the world (plus some extinct, fantasy and sci-fi variations as well)! Okay, maybe not every plant, perhaps just the identifiably different species which have at least a common name!
