obj/mtl does not work in sketchup 2018/vray3.6/simlab obj importer, no textures will be applied or after loading the missing texture, fit the leaves (and i was trying a lot of different ways!!)
Xfrog plants via turbosquid in obj/mtl are working perfect.
In my experience i can say that about 80% of obj/mtl found in net net are working for sketchup.
Especially "older" models/conversions are not working.
Factory Hall interior 5 is also not working ( as an obj/mtl in sketchup )and has really poor constructional level. It is a quick and dirty copyandpaste model, pillars are ending in nowhere, constructional details does not fit together or are just nonsense. There are no groups which helps applying materials or textures or make simple changes. One have to spend a lot of time or send it right into garbage (thank the lord i did not pay 40 bucks for that).
Sketchup/vray users who are looking for obj files should search for models which has been created within the last few years.
I am sorry to say but i have had no problems with obj files purchased via turbosquid.
