The Thing Spider head 3rd scale

The Thing Spider head 3rd scale 3D print model

Description

I was always a great fan of The Thing, especially all the wierd creatures that evolved in the movie.

This is that nightmare Spider Head , the stuff of nightmares :)it is a 1/3 scale kit with all the 6 legs pegged for easy building.

try to ceep the head as light as possible, as the legs are thin, but the bottom of the head rests on the floor, and should keep it from sagging.

You might want to scale this up to 1:1 scale for that fun Halloween lawn ornament, or smaller scale to put in the bathroom.

have Fun :)

Do you by chance have this as one piece? I want to print a smaller version to go with the 1/12 scale figures. Model looks great by the way :)

All the parts have to correct x-y-z coordinates, if you open all the parts in Meshmixer (Free), they should all attach at the correct place., then you can scale it, and export it as 1 model. Chitubox should have no problem slicing at a solid file.

Sweet. Was going to use meshmixer but most of the time 3d models x-y-z coordinates are all over the place. Thanks so much!! Now I go to meshmixer and then print :D

Just don't let Meshmixer place the object for you, just hit cancel and it should be placed correctly. let me know if it worked :)

Wow, great job and fast work :), did you print in resin or FDM ? I also saw somewhere there are some figures, you can buy from the movie also.

Thanks :) Resin printer and I turn the layer heights down. I have seen some old ones from Todd MacFarlane movie line but they are worth a lot now.

Hi, leg 3 is missing the plug, the stl in slicer just seems to fade away where the plug should be for placing into the head, all other legs seem fine. Will you be correcting this and if so how would I get a new file? Thanks.

Thanks for bringing it to my attention, send me a private message to me with your e-mail, and I will send the corrected file :)

Stunning model. Love it. The detail is great. Make more creatures from the Carpenter Think, and I will buy everything you have.
