The Niels Esperson Building is a 125m tall skyscraper in Houston, Texas. Designed by architect John Eberson for the tower's namesake real-estate and oil magnate. Completed in 1927, the building briefly held the title of Houston's tallest building until the nearby Gulf Building eclipsed it just a few years later. The building features a colorful, eclectic mix of Renaissance and Neoclassical ornaments with hints of Art Deco, primarily in the building's tiered form. Its unique design and illuminated cupola make it one of the most remarkable pieces of architecture in the city.
