Description
German sub design from 1985, built in Argentina, lost at sea and finally located at 900 mts.
This boat saw action at the Malvinas war where she sunk a Royal Navy boat.This is the latest development of diesel subs, diesel engines only charge batteries, but the boat is fully electric, the first sub that tested this system was the german Type XXI at the end of WWII. This step became possible after the invention of the schnorkel so batteries could be charged by diesel engines while underwater.
