The MGM-18A Lacrosse was a tactical short range ballistic missile developed under the US Marine Corps as a complement to field artillery. The project was transferred to the Navy as the SSM-N-9 and finally to the Army as SSM-G-12 and SSM-A-12 before getting its final MGM-18A designator. The subsonic could be outfitted with an explosive or 1.5-10 kT nuclear warhead.
