Artillery shell cratesThis is a model of an ammo crate for transporting 120 mm M859 APFSDS-T cartridges, modelled in 3ds max 2018.

  • The model is a low poly one, with less than 400 polygons it is great for real-time rendering or use as an in-game asset.
  • At the same time, the model is UV mapped, with a 4K high definition texture as well as a normal map for the wood planks.

  • The texture helps the model to maintain high high photo-realism with a low poly count.

  • The objects are grouped into the lid, bottom, and lock.

Beautifully textured fairly low-poly models that imported into Blender 3.6.2 with no problems using the provided Blender import files. I am a model railroading hobbyist who creates freeware 3rd party mod content for the Trainz Railroad Simulator (TRS22). I use purchased 3D models on my own created freeware routes and share it with other TRS22 route creators, but only under the license provisions. These models were easily adapted for TRS22. I exported these models into Trainz Railroad Simulator 2022 (TRS22) and they looked exactly as they should and were trouble free. I am pleased with the overall quality and appearance of these models and recommend them to others, especially those who need content for computer games and simulations! Minor recommendation: I would suggest that the author also consider providing ambient occlusion (AO), and metallic texture maps for these models as well for those of us who use PBR.
