POM-3 “Medallion” (ПOM-3 “Медальйон”) Anti-personnel, fragmentation landmine,
remote (cluster) method of installation on the ground (example - installation “EARTHQUAKE” (Земледелие)).
First introduced in Russia in 2019. Actively used by the Russian Federation in the Russo-Ukrainian war since 2022.
It is especially dangerous and cannot be demined as it uses a seismological detonation sensor.
The POM-3 is equipped with a seismic target sensor that reacts only to the weight
of an average person and the amplitude of their footsteps. When the target is approaching,
the warhead is triggered and detonates the knockout charge, after which the warhead “jumps”
to a height of about 1-1.5 meters and detonates the main charge.
The POM-3 warhead uses semi-fragments. The main charge and detonator are mounted
inside a structure made of a large number of special rings shaped like gears.
The presented set includes three separate models (variants of model assembly) -
“Compact” and “Combat” and training - conditionally cut to visualize the basic elements of the internal device.
Model dimensions in mm. Are presented graphically - see model overview images.
They correspond to the original ones, taking into account the possibility of plasic
moulage manufacturing techniques. . The model is made in SolidWorks 2012.
It is primarily for 3D printing of a stand model. For use as a visual aid and is not a complete
copy of the external forms of the original product, although it displays all the necessary elements.
Adapted for the possibility of 3D printing and subsequent assembly of the product layout.
The model is an assembly model, contains all conditional parts files (STL) in high-polygonal
version to obtain qualitatively smooth forms. Additionally, the set contains all files for
obtaining high-quality realistic close-up rendering (smooth lines, selected, prepared surfaces -
for applying materials or textures - Assigned materials surfaces with conditional color markings),
see the image of models and examples of 3D rendering results in specialized professional
applications (for examples- KeyShot). Additionally, the set contains marking textures - inscriptions
to be applied to surfaces (see rendering examples).
