DESCRIPTION

Hand grenade MK2 and MK2 A1 pineapple - Mid poly model, mesh and textures. Each grenade has a relatively large number of polygons, but you could add or reduce their numbers at your taste and opinion.

The Mk 2 defensive hand grenade is a antipersonnel fragmentation hand grenade used by the U.S. armed forces during World War 1, World War 2, Korean War, Vietnam War and in other conflicts. Mk II was designed in 1918 on replacing the Mk I grenade. Mk2 has a ribbed egg-shaped body, that gave appearance of pineapple fruit and same nickname.Despite the fact that the grenade was called defensive, it's killing power was quite large, in order to also use it in attacks, for filling body were used gunpowder or TNT was used as an explosive, and grenades with TNT were marked with a yellow warning tape, as they had quite a high fragmentation. Mk II grenade had a plug at bottom side of body. This was designed to place the explosive filling. Grenade Mk2A1, that was made as modification of MK2 in 1942 lacked the bottom filler hole and was filled through the fuse well.

the model was made in the style of the newly created

The pack hold a 4K (4096 x 4096 px.) textures in PNG and located in Textures folders and easily can be resized to 2k, 1k and lower. The Texture folder got textures for Unreal engine 4, Unity 5, CryEngine and PBR. Pack got an additional textures for body in style of painted by brush.

The pack also have file formats with same named folders: .fbx; .obj; .blend; .dae; .stl.

!!!all parts of the grenade are connected in one, if you need meshes for animation and low-poly - they will be available soon!!!

Files can be used in many editors and game engines.

This pack collect 4 objects: MK2, MK2A1 and MK2 & MK2A1 with red rings

No unsupported objects
Unsupported objects:
- Lights
- Cameras
Learn more
Geometry
No N-gons
N-gons are polygons with five or more sides which might cause issues in certain processes like rendering or animation. Learn more
No faceted geometry
Faceted geometry uses flat surfaces without smoothing, which can look unrealistic on curves.
Learn more
Manifold geometry
Manifold geometry ensures all surfaces are properly connected, avoiding issues like edges shared by more than two faces.

Textures & material
PBR textures
PBR textures simulate how light interacts with materials, making the model look realistic under different lighting.
Required PBR textures:
- Base Color
- Roughness
- Metalness
- Normal
Learn more
No embed textures
Embedded textures are stored inside the model file, increasing its size and sometimes causing compatibility issues.
Learn more
Square textures
Texture aspect ratio is the width-to-height ratio of a texture. Expected texture aspect ratio: 1:1
Learn more
Power of 2 texture sizes
Textures with dimensions in power of two (e.g. 512x512px, 1024x1024px) are used to optimize performance and memory usage.
Learn more
Assigned materials
Materials are applied to the 3D model to allow visualize a model's surface properties and appearance.
Learn more
UVs & naming
No UV overlaps
UVs overlap when multiple points on the 3D model's surface are mapped to the same point on the UV island causing texture stretching.
Learn more
UV unwrapped model
A UV unwrapped model means its 3D surface is flattened into 2D space, allowing textures to be applied accurately.
