DESCRIPTION

MARK III Atomic Bomb 3d model. The one thrown over Nagasaki on August 9th 1945.

A low polygon count 3D model with PBR textures of a MARK III Atomic Bomb a.k.a Fatman . Perfect for game developing or interior scenes where you are decorating a military setting or historical presentation.

Carefully designed for use with physically based renderers like UE4 and Unity, but it can be converted to corona and vray if the buyer requests it. Preview images were made on Marmoset toolbag 3.

Please note that:

Depending on your target engine, you may have to flip the normals and the roughness inside the software you are using.

Due file size, buyer dowloads and renders will be extremely fast.

What's included:

-- 4096x4096 PBR textures.

-- Two texture sets included -- YELLOW_CLASSIC with the historic color pattern of the bomb and ALTERNATIVE_ RED which is a variant that I created.

-- Color, Metal,Roughness, Normal and AO maps included for surfaces. File format is TGA.

-- Also included in there is a masked texture with the metal, AO and roughness maps assigned to the RGB channels each for optimal use inside UE4.

-- 3d low poly models in 2 formats FBX, OBJ and a High Res version in MAX 2016. Please note that the textures cannot be applied to the High Res , because all unwrapping was just applied to the low res version of the bomb

Poly count by model:

-- Total: 19538 faces.

What's not included:

-- marmoset toolbag scene or built materials. -- textures fo the high poly models.

Thanks a lot for reading this and have fun creating your nuclear armageddon!

No unsupported objects
Unsupported objects:
- Lights
- Cameras
Learn more
Geometry
No N-gons
N-gons are polygons with five or more sides which might cause issues in certain processes like rendering or animation. Learn more
No faceted geometry
Faceted geometry uses flat surfaces without smoothing, which can look unrealistic on curves.
Learn more
Manifold geometry
Manifold geometry ensures all surfaces are properly connected, avoiding issues like edges shared by more than two faces.

Textures & material
PBR textures
PBR textures simulate how light interacts with materials, making the model look realistic under different lighting.
Required PBR textures:
- Base Color
- Roughness
- Metalness
- Normal

No embed textures
Embedded textures are stored inside the model file, increasing its size and sometimes causing compatibility issues.
Learn more
Square textures
Texture aspect ratio is the width-to-height ratio of a texture. Expected texture aspect ratio: 1:1
Learn more
Power of 2 texture sizes
Textures with dimensions in power of two (e.g. 512x512px, 1024x1024px) are used to optimize performance and memory usage.
Learn more
Assigned materials
Materials are applied to the 3D model to allow visualize a model's surface properties and appearance.
Learn more
UVs & naming
No UV overlaps
UVs overlap when multiple points on the 3D model's surface are mapped to the same point on the UV island causing texture stretching.
Learn more
UV unwrapped model
A UV unwrapped model means its 3D surface is flattened into 2D space, allowing textures to be applied accurately.
