A model of a German WWII staff car or Kommandeurswagen, styled in the livery of the Deutsches Afrikakorps. This vehicle was a modification of the classic German Beetle, and was essentially a Beetle body on top of the chassis of a Kubelwagen. The fenders, running boards and wheel arches were modified in order to incorporate the larger tyres needed for travel in rugged conditions. I have tried to model the car as faithfully as I could, but due to difficulties in finding accurate pictures of the vehicle and my lack of automotive mechanic or German military marking knowledge some inaccuracies are bound to have slipped in. My apologies...
The car was modelled as a high poly, and then retopologised as a low poly version for use in a game engine. The low poly model has 32,705 polys all told. The interior is detailed as well as the underneath of the car. All textures are 4K PBR.
Icluded is both an .FBX and .OBJ version of the model in it's low poly form, along with the PBR roughness/metalness textures for it. Also icluded are 3ds max scenes of both the low and high poly (subdivided) ready for renders using Redshift renderer.
