Panzerkampfwagen Tiger Ausf. E, commonly known as Tiger I, was a German heavy tank used during World War II. It was developed in response to the Soviet tanks and was designed to be a breakthrough tank, capable of destroying enemy tanks and fortifications. The Tiger I was heavily armored and armed with an 88mm main gun, which was one of the most powerful tank guns at the time. It had a crew of five and weighed over 50 tons. The Tiger I saw action on both the Eastern and Western fronts of World War II and was feared by Allied tank crews for its superior firepower and armor protection.
