T-34 was born as the evolution of a fast, sloped armor BT tank series improving armor lacks, mobility and firepower of its predecessors. Its early participation in the WW2 was considered unefective due to a bad disposition an ergonomy of is combat compartment, the lack of communication systems and an antique soviet chain of command. The mid and late portions of the war saw major improvements of the tank design as the T-34-76, equiped with a more powerful cannon or the T-34-85 which redesigned the turret to make it more spacious and being able to fit a 85mm gun, necessary to face the most modern axis armored vehicles. At the end of the war the T-34 tank was a versatile and cheap alternative which had replaced most of the soviet light and heavy tanks.
