The MAN KAT 1 was a truck available in 4x4, 6x6, and 8x8 configurations, all equipped with an air-cooled (later water-cooled) engine. It featured a diesel engine developed and manufactured by the company, capable of producing up to 360 hp, with smaller models generating less power. The truck came with a transmission boasting 16 gears, along with 2 for reverse.
