Considered as the first modern tank, the Renault FT-17 incorporated some of the main features that we consider today intrinsic to these type of vehicles: a rotating turret, a rear placed engine, suspension in the running module and others which allowed it to play a revolutionary role on the WW1 battlefields. The tank had a weight of 6 ton, interior space for a 2 men crew, 60km autonomy and a maximum speed of 7km/h. The turret had variants for a 37mm cannon or an 8mm machinegun. The tank design was also licenced by the United States, the Soviet Union and other countries. After the WW1 the tank remained in service in multiple countries and played suporting and logistic roles during the WW2.
The model is a 1:1 ultrarrealistic replica of the real object, was built based in original WW1 french documentation and 3D scans, it is excellent for CGI, rendering and 3D printing.
