Panzerkampfwagen I (Pz.Kpfw.I, Pz.I) was a German light tank of the 1930s. In Western literature, it is also commonly referred to as Panzer I, while in Soviet literature, it was traditionally designated as Т-1. According to the German military designation system, it carried the index Sd.Kfz.101. As the first German mass-produced tank after World War I, the Pz.Kpfw.I was developed between 1930 and 1934 by the firms Krupp and Daimler-Benz. It was produced in series from 1934 to 1937, with a total of 1,575 tanks of this type being manufactured.
