The M15 was the main workhorse of the italian army during the North Africa campaign.Designed to face its most common enemy in that scenario, the british cruise tank, this machine proved itself capable in its job. This unfortunately lead the major officials of the italian army to try to improve it even further when they encountered the first soviet T-34 and the american Sherman tank, refusing to listen to their soldiers and engeneers that pushed for the introduction of the 75mm gun on tank chassis (the future P40).The cannon provet itself worthless at the end of the war and the cramped design of the crew compartment put a heavy strain on the troops in the hot african enviroment.
