This iconic piece of equipment is a combat helmet utilized by the U.S. military, as well as numerous other armies and police units worldwide. It was conceived by the United States Army Soldier Systems Center to serve as the next generation protective combat helmet for the U.S. Army.

It found significant usage during the early stages of the Global War on Terror (GWOT), particularly in operations conducted in Iraq and Afghanistan.
