This heavy saber or dussack has prominent Sinclare-style guard and was used throughout 16 and 17 centuries. It has long quillons and an oval leather-wrapped grip that was originally designed for falchion blades but was soon applied to swords. It has a large plate very similar to the ones used on main gauche daggers and is decorated with pierced hearts and diamonds.
