Description

Experience the Samurai spirit in 3D with this high-quality Nodachi! The Nodachi is a traditional Japanese longsword, renowned for its exceptionally long blade, typically measuring around 1.5 meters (4.9 feet) in length, surpassing the standard katana in size. I've incorporated some creative elements into this model, such as the shark fin appearance at the blade's tip and a non-traditional Japanese handle wrap to showcase the wood of the handle.

Key Features:

  • Game-ready (tested in Unreal Engine 5)
  • Suitable for rendering, animation, and more
  • All textures and materials are included.
  • I've scaled the Nodachi based on Unreal Engine 5's mannequin
  • Clean topology with only Tris and Quads
  • Includes 3 FBX or OBJ files: one for the Nodachi, one for the scabbard, and one that combines both.
  • Also includes the blend file with the Nodachi and its scabbard, with all textures already set up.
  • Fully UV-unwrapped meshes.
  • PBR (Physically Based Rendering) Maps
  • The sword and its scabbard are centered at 0 XYZ
  • No clean up necessary
  • The model does not include any background lights and cameras used in the preview images.

Poly count:

Sword: Faces -> 11,601, Vertices -> 12,785 Scabbard: Faces -> 13,142, Vertices -> 13,294 Total: Faces -> 24,743, Vertices -> 26,079

Textures:

This model comes with 4K (4096x4096) PNG textures. I've also provided maps compatible with various software:

PBR format: Base Color, Normal, Metallic, Roughness, Height Blender format: Base Color, Normal, Metallic, Roughness, Ambient Occlusion Unreal Engine 5 format: Base Color, Normal, ORDP

If you wish to use this model in Unreal, simply import the FBX and assign the corresponding textures from the 'Unreal 5/textures' folder. (Read PDF 'Setup textures in Unreal 5' included in the Nodachi textures folder)

For Blender, all textures are already configured in the shading tab within the blend file. If you have any additional requirements, please do not hesitate to ask!

I created this model in Blender 3.6, and the textures were crafted using Adobe Substance 3D Painter (2023).
