DESCRIPTION

Thank you for supporting my first ever published 3D Model :)

Description:A strange sword, from a fantastical realm of the Ethereal.

Broad and elongated, this sword possesses the guard of a sabre, but also has a broader blade resembling that of a scimtar. Its lightweight construction and thin, sharp blade earn it the uniqueness of having a fuller on only one side.

Large features are sculpted entirely by hand, including the engraving of an eagle at the pummel. The fuller itself is also done via sculpting primarily to save processing power in not creating actual vertex displacements, but also achieve a favourable outlook overall.

A random damascus pattern colours the entire length of the blade, from hilt to tip, created procedurally through blender's material nodes. The guard, pummel, handle grip and decorative stars are all peppered with small dents, an subtly uneven texture to better symbolise real world metal. Furthermore, the silver handle grip has procedurally textured studs to signify better grip ergonomics.

Ultimately, this product contains four total meshes, for .obj, .fbx and .blend file types. These five meshes include the original sword (_original) and four LOD options. This product is compatible both for Unity (HDRP and SRP) as well as Unreal Engine 4. As a last note, attached in the folder is a text document that contains additional info on setting up the model, either for 3D platforms or Game Engines - Unity and Unreal.

Feel free to request for file formats apart from those presented. This mesh is fully subdivisible, and can used for higher resolution projects.

PolyCount:LOD0 and Original:Verts = 7600Faces = 7598Tris = 15196

LOD1:Verts = 4560Faces = 9023Tris = 9116

LOD2:Verts = 3041Faces = 6013Tris = 6078

LOD3:Verts = 1521Faces = 2999Tris = 3038

This product is under a royalty-free license. Most importantly, one **CANNOT resell* this product after purchase.*

Use of this model for one's own game, rendering and 3D projects are allowed, commercial or not. However, commercial projects cannot solely feature this model as an asset, of which it is then published under your name.

(Exp: Publishing a new custom render of this sword, only. That cannot work. Some allowed exps are: rendering an image primarily with your own models and assets, with the sword included. Fundamentally, ones's game or render cannot revolve primarily around my product. It has to identifiably and noticeably be your own creation. My sword is just an asset which you have included, nothing more).

No unsupported objects
Unsupported objects:
- Lights
- Cameras
Learn more
Geometry
No N-gons
N-gons are polygons with five or more sides which might cause issues in certain processes like rendering or animation. Learn more
No faceted geometry
Faceted geometry uses flat surfaces without smoothing, which can look unrealistic on curves.
Learn more
Manifold geometry
Manifold geometry ensures all surfaces are properly connected, avoiding issues like edges shared by more than two faces.

Textures & material
PBR textures
PBR textures simulate how light interacts with materials, making the model look realistic under different lighting.
Required PBR textures:
- Base Color
- Roughness
- Metalness
- Normal
Learn more
No embed textures
Embedded textures are stored inside the model file, increasing its size and sometimes causing compatibility issues.
Learn more
Square textures
Texture aspect ratio is the width-to-height ratio of a texture. Expected texture aspect ratio: 1:1
Learn more
Power of 2 texture sizes
Textures with dimensions in power of two (e.g. 512x512px, 1024x1024px) are used to optimize performance and memory usage.
Learn more
Assigned materials
Materials are applied to the 3D model to allow visualize a model's surface properties and appearance.
Learn more
UVs & naming
No UV overlaps
UVs overlap when multiple points on the 3D model's surface are mapped to the same point on the UV island causing texture stretching.
Learn more
UV unwrapped model
A UV unwrapped model means its 3D surface is flattened into 2D space, allowing textures to be applied accurately.
