Description

Low-poly historical accurate reconstruction of an German executioner’s sword (Richtschwert / Henkerschwert). The oldest known specialized executioner’s swords date back to the end of the 13th century. They were specifically designed to behead or decapitate criminals. They were two-handed swords with a broad blade. They had no point but rather the front was rounded. Additional holes in the front would prevent people from adding a point to the sword. So it was only intended to cut.

** The file includes:**

  • Only the sword with a pear shaped pommel, three holes in the front part and a little symbol of gallows scratched into the blade.

Polys/Verts

  • Sword (1719/1723)
