Description
The K5 pistol was developed by Daewoo Precision Industries (currently S&T Motiv) in Korea from 1984 to May 1988 and then supplied from 1989. Prior to that, the M1911 pistol, a US military standard pistol, was used as a Korean military standard pistol. It is the world’s first fast-action pistol. The K5 pistol is mainly supplied to officers of the ROK Armed Forces (generals are issued with a 38 caliber), tank soldiers, special forces, and police special forces.
