This model is a fairly close replica of the type generally issued to German soldiers during World War II. Certain details have been omitted or stylised because it was not intended for close scrutiny. None of the markings, serial numbers, etc. have been included. The sights are fairly generic with a V at the back and a pin at the front. The mechanism details are minimal. Simplified artwork has been applied.Out of over 14 million produced there were at least 100 variants of the Mauser K98. First produced in 1898, it uses a 7,92mm bullet with a range of 2000m.
