The Model 1908 Vest Pocket is a compact pistol used widely in the early 20th century. With over 400 000 pistols manufactured it still remains a valuable collectible weapon. As name suggests, the pistol could fit in a pocket with only a little over 12cm/5in length. It fired a tiny .25 ACP bullet and could fit 6 bullets in the magazine. The inspiration to make this project came from an exhibition in Danish WW2 Ressistance Museum in Copenhagen where one of those pistols is displayed. The very pistol on display was used by Nazi-collaborative Danish police sergeant who got in a firefight with British-backed Danish Ressistance agents. The pistol jammed and shortly after the police sergeant was shot by one of the ressistance fighters. What's interesting - the pistol on display in the Museum still remains in the jammed position with one of the casings failing to eject.
