The basemesh object is made for models with sufficiently complex geometry.
It implements n-gon based topology and a parametric boolean workflow to create a base object with autentic dimensions.
Highpoly:
The highpoly object is made to provide details for the lowpoly object.
It implements a subdivision surface & bevel edge workflow to generate smooth enough geometry to bake detail textures where perfect quad based geometry is not a priority.
Lowpoly:
The lowpoly object is made for optimized use in real time rendering.
It implements triangulated topology with reduced geometry and UV-Mapping for texturing.
Quixel Mixer Project Files: (Mixer Version 2022.1.1)
