Parma Shield low-poly 3d model ready for Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), games and other real-time apps.
The Parma, or Parmula Shield, is the round shield used by the Roman Army. It was used by legionnaires by the lowest class division of the army, the Velites. They were essentially light infantry, without typical units, but acted as a screening force to disrupt the enemy lines and formations. With their versatility and mobility, they are able to counter mounted opposition like chariots. With such qualities, a heavy shield would not be a good idea, thus they favor the Parma Shield.
