Salisbury Corrida

Salisbury Corrida 3D model

Description

I decided to model the Salisbury Cathedral, originally located in England. The event taking place in the cathedral is a typical bullfighting contest, that is why we can see a matador in the sand in the middle of the cathedral. This kind of contest is a Spanish custom and usually takes place in arenas. The public wears white and red clothes, the typical outfit for the feria lovers. They all carry a red headscarf and they all are waving it in the air as a symbol of the end of the corrida. I chose to mix religion and bullfighting, as they are two things that gather people. I wanted to emphasize the difference between the two universes since the bullfighting gather people who scream and make a lot of noise whereas religious people in European church are really quiet and sing in a very religious way. The fact that Religion had allowed and still allows bullfighting is quite a paradox, since religions want people to be peaceful whereas the bullfighting is quite a barbarian and violent custom. To create this model I used 3ds Max 2014, V-ray 2.4 and Photoshop CS6. In 3ds Max, I used the plugin MultiScatter to create the crowd and the sand.

Thank you for your comment, the matador was composited in Photoshop if all else is in 3D. Following your request I added a picture of the wire

Renders look beautiful! Could you comment more about the matador - is it 3D or composed 2D in the render? Also more renders with wires would be great.
