In the tradition of Abstract Expressionism, Seb Sweatman creates large-scale, heavily worked paintings alive with expression and movement. The artist worked to the song Makeba by French singer Jain as he created this piece, applying thick layers of oil paint using rollers and a tiling tool. Like the music, the painting has an exuberant sense of rhythm.
