Workshop Props & Pipes is a collection of realistic props for quickly decorating environments and supplying characters with equipment for the Unity Engine.
MeshesWith the goal being to accommodate as many use cases as possible, we've included sensible assets with parent-based rigs for easy posing. However, if you're not needing assets that customizable, we've also included meshes that are pre-posed and combined as a single mesh for optimization.
TexturesTextures are provided in TGA format at a resolution of 2048px by 2048px. Some asset's are atlased together for a compromise on texture detail and performance efficiency. You may also notice that some textures will not utilize all of their UV space. For those, we're thinking of using that space for new future assets we'll be releasing down the line. For some of our textures, we're providing PSDs for recoloring aspects of albedo maps. In the future, we'd like to extend this customization to lots of other painted assets.
CollidersFor the most part we have primarily used primitives for the colliders in all prefabs. However, there are a few cases here & there that we are using a convex mesh colliders. We've named both types differently if users want to disable the mesh colliders in their projects. Primitives are named ColObject while mesh colliders are named ColObject_Mesh.
Hierarchy, Colliders, & Mesh RenderersFor the prefabs in this package we have split our colliders & visual into two child game objects, _Visuals & _Colliders. We realize that not everyone will need to have colliders for their projects or need complex colliders for rigid body purposes. Users can quickly drag all the prefabs into a new empty scene, search for _Colliders, disable the game objects, and apply the changes to the prefabs to get you into level design as fast as possible!
