These are 10 variations of organic cable sleeving in sections that can be arrayed on cables, hoses, pipes or incorporated by themselves.
-The sleeve sections are subdividable and are layed out in the blend file.
-The sections can be applied to curves using the array and curve modifier non-destructively.
Sleeve sections
Blend file
-The blend file contains each sleeve section layed out and has active array, solidify and subdivision modifiers set up to tweak the parameters. Alternatively, the base mesh of a section can be dropped into a blend file and an array modifier can be applied in the z-direction with merge enabled. The sections default diameter at the applied scale (1,1,1) is approximately 55cm to merge correctly with blender's default array modifier merge distance value. The sections can be scaled down; however if scale is applied with array modifier active, the array merge distance may have to be adjusted.
OBJ & FBX
-The obj and fbx files contains the sleeve sections in their base mesh as shown in the wireframe previews. The 10 sections are in one obj file and one fbx file.
-The sections can be arrayed and merged seamlessly in other appropriate polygon modeling software with relevant solidify and subdivision techniques.
Note:
-The demo blend file used to show the arrayed sleeves in the previews is not included.
-The previews are rendered in Blender Cycles with active array, solidify, subivision and curve modifiers on the sleeves.
-Wireframes are rendered with the base mesh only.
