What is a three phase asynchronous AC motor?
In industrial use, the AC asynchronous motors are by far the most common types of motors. High voltage motors are almost always AC motors.
- AC is the form of electricity supplied from the grid and is intended for domestic and industrial use.
- Three-phase voltage power current is electrical energy in the form of three simultaneous induced ac voltages. In fact, all companies that work with machines have a three-phase power connection available.
- Asynchronous has to do with the operation of the motor. This type of works with a rotor and a stator, wherein the rotor is driven by a rotating magnetic field between the rotor and the stator.
- IEC are the international standards which are used for these type of electric motors. These standards contain agreements on energy classes, frame types and sizes, main dimensions and more things that are important to exchange the motors. IEC motors are supplier independent, so you can switch out a Wyalo 3D model for the requested model by your supplier, and everything will always fit .
Asynchronous motors are also called induction motors.
