A thrust bearing for rotating equipment. This is a 13.5" diameter self-equalizing thrust bearing with tilting Babbitted pads. It is modeled after the Kingsbury design.
This model was originally created in SolidWorks and to Blender. It is not exclusively quads and the topology is not optimized. The parts of the bearing can be selected easily with vertex groups. These groups along with the displacment modifier make it easy to create and exploded view animation.
It is available in the following formats: Blender, DAE, FBX, OBJ, STEP and STL.
The technical details of this bearing can be found on my web site: https://simmer3d.wordpress.com/2019/04/24/art-station-portfolio/
