Gear pumps are fixed delivery pumps, i.e., they deliver a constant volume at a constant pressure via the meshing of gears.
External Gear Pumps are mostly used for transferring viscous fluids at constant pressure by the rotation of the meshing gears.
External Gear Pumps are also more reliable than centrifugal pumps in terms of transferring viscous fluid under very high pressure. This is because gear pumps use suction by first drawing fluid into the cavity occupied by the meshing gears and with their rotation push the fluid via the exit hole.
The model was designed in SolidWorks with accuracy to dimensions and tolerance. It also includes CAD format like IGS and STL files along side a pdf containing the drawing of each part to aid production of each part.
