Description
These little cast iron stoves were commonplace in South African farms and servants quarters during most of the 20th century. Light-weight with top and front openings, they were easy to use and maintain. Wood, coal or anthracite were burned in them for both heating and cooking. All the components slotted together and came apart easily for cleaning. Whether or not the design was used elsewhere in the world is not known.
