Description

Model of a slightly used 1950s diner plate set

-About the model:

  • This model is made for archviz, it can be used for games as well.
  • Model was made using Blender3D modeling software.
  • Textures were made using Substance Painter texturing software.
  • This model is built using real world scale, the diameter of the biggest plate is 9 inches (23 cm).

-Model contents:

  • 2 Native .blend files with no modifiers, subdividable mesh and non-subdividable lowpoly (more suitable for games).
  • 2 OBJ files with no modifiers, subdividable mesh and non-subdividable lowpoly (more suitable for games).
  • 2 FBX files with no modifiers, subdividable mesh and non-subdividable lowpoly (more suitable for games).
  • This model has no material ID maps, however you can use the base color map as a mask if you need to.
  • Textures folder is in .zip archive.

-Model structure:

  • Model is consisted of 3 objects named: Diner Deep Plate, Diner Large Plate and Diner Small Plate, in both versions.

-Mesh information:

  • Quad topology only, no N-gons or triangles
  • Main Mesh is subdivision-ready.
  • Main mesh has 2266 quads (766 per plate), (4532 triangles)and 2272 vertices.
  • Lowpoly non subdividable mesh (without support loops) has 762 quads in total (254 per plate), (1524 triangles) and 768 verts in total.

-Material information:

  • Model has 1 material named Plates.
  • The material has 5 texture maps: base color, ambient occlusion, metalness, roughness and normal.
  • All textures are in .png format.
  • Textures come in 1k, 2k, 4k resolutions.
  • No shaders are used in this model, only textures which should be placed in their corresponding places (.blend nativefiles have textures already packed and placed in their slots, no need to do extra work if using blender).
  • Smoothing for lowpoly non-subdiv mesh is done in blender using the autosmooth edges option, set to 10 degrees. You may need to set the smoothing manually for your software/engine depending on wether it can import smoothing set in blender, fbx or obj.

-UV maps information:

  • Manually unwrapped UV's, no overlaping.

-Intended use for the model:

  • The model is designed for renders and archviz specifically.
  • The model can be used for games that have realtime rendering engines such as Unity and Unreal, non-subdiv mesh is reccomended for this option.
  • The model can be used for Virtual Reality and Agumented Reality, non-subdiv mesh is reccomended for this option.

-Preview renders info:

  • Some images shown in the preview are done with subdivison x2 modifier applied, and most with base mesh only.
  • In the bottom right corner of the images you can find info about any modifiers used or the type of mesh.
  • All images are rendered with 4k resolution textures.
  • Model is rendered in blender 2.83 with Cycles rendering engine, each image is marked in the bottom right corner with the name of the rendering engine used.
  • The results you get may be different depending on lighting and rendering engine you use.
  • Lighting was done using an HDRI which is NOT included with the model, you get a clean scene with no lights, planes or cameras.
