DESCRIPTION

A novelty fishing lure for printing on a resin or extruder printer. 100% infill. When using an extruder printer, the best results are achieved printing from the tail up.

Lure floats tip up.

Requires: 3 - 7/16” screw eyes. (Can be found at Ace Hardware. Measure 7/16” in length.) 2 - #8 treble hooks. Gorilla Super Glue or Epoxy. Small diameter syringe. Acrylic paints. Semi gloss spray polyurethane. Can of spray air.

Print with no hollowing and supports only on the outside. Do not add holes to drain resin. ABS like resin will give a more durable lure. (Blending clear green and black will make the lure “fish colored” to save painting time.)
Use a syringe to flush resin from the inner cavity. The front hook hole and hole in the nose are connected. Use spray air to blow into the hook hole and push out alcohol. Use a syringe to flush out the rear hole. Rear hole is not connected to the main cavity.Cure normally.
Once cured, create threads in holes by inserting, then removing screw eyes.Paint as needed.Spray lure with 3-4 coats of polyurethane.Open screw eyes enough to attach hooks. It is important to orient the open side of the screw eye properly on the hook. (see pic) Apply a small drop of glue to threads of screw eyes. Screw into position very quickly. (Glue sets in seconds.) Using epoxy instead of glue will allow more working time.
