Long Wooden boxes have been used for a long time to transport long objects to keep them safe whilst being transported.
I have developed a few designs for people to download and print, the box lids are separately printed.
The real sizes would be:!st is about 25ft long, about 2.5ft wide and 2.4ft high (7.6m x 0.76m x 0.7m)2nd is about 18ft long, about 3.2ft wide and 2ft high (5.5m x 1m x 0.6m)3rd is about 12ft long, about 3.5ft wide and 2ft high (3.6m x 1.1m x 0.6m)
These have all been modeled in OO Guage 1/76 scale but can be easily scaled up or down. For HO Gauge print at 87%, 1/87 Scale; For O Gauge UK print at 175%, 1/43.5 scale; For O Gauge International print at 158%, 1/48 scale; For TT Gauge print at 63.5%, 1/120 scale;for N Gauge UK print at 51.5%, 1/148 Scale, (Caution: I have not test printed this in N gauge scale).
The examples in the pictures were printed on an AnyCubic Proton M3 3D resin printer.I recommend printing these on a 3D resin printer to get the best print definition. As per normal with my designs, there is a balance between accuracy and printability, hopefully not affecting the look of the model too much.
The main resins I use for printing can be found with my affiliated links below.I use AnyCubic Water Washable Resin for most of my items but use AnyCubic ABS Like Resin for anything that needs to be stronger and tougher.
