This is a conversion kit for 120mm PC fans. The kit was born from an idea that proved to be very effective. This design has been tested on two 3.84 watt and 6 watt fans with doubling of pressure. Obviously the fan flow is halved. Equally obvious that the faster the rotor turns, the more pressure and flow is produced. I suggest using fans of 3 watts or more.
Dimensions supported by the kit
In first video the assembly of the kit is shown and then the test is shown with a few calculations.
The design is optimized to be printed with 0.4mm nozzleAmong the files you will find two covers, the cover-plus05 adds 0.5mm of space in height if you have not been very precise in installing the impeller. Or in case your motor moves too high.I added rings with a thickness of 0.5 - 1 - 1.5 mm, but if the thickness you need is different, you can make a resize on the Z axis with the slicer to get the thickness you need.
Suggest print option for the impeller:
Normal radial fans have a dead zone of 20-25% which does not produce pressure, with this design there is no longer a dead zone and the whole fan is used to generate pressure. Not only that, more explanations in second video.
And in** third video **the first comparison test with a 6 watt fan.
