F-15 Aces-II Ejection Seat

F-15 Aces-II Ejection Seat 3D print model

Description

The F-15 version of the ACES II Ejection seat. Used in Fighter & strike attack versions of the Eagle. Fits nicely in the 1/48th Tamiya F-15C kit. Suitable for 3d printing in larger scales 1/35 and above using the Large Scale version, and for smaller scales, the slightly chunkier Small Scale version of the files can be used. The model is provided with or without straps, & with & without mounting rails. The objects are modelled in real world metric size. This seat is similar to the F-16 seat, but because it is mounted at a more vertical angle, the seat pan itself is a different shape, and angle, Additionally, the seat has two linked side ejection handles rather than leg restraints & there is no central pull handle.**Note: **The printed sample show above was 1/48th scale, **printed with no supports added, 0.5mm layer height, at the angle it was modelled. **Some supports on the base and legs restraint undersides are recommended. Use finer layer height for added detail.

Scale down to fit your desired scale. Be aware that some slicers use mm, while others cm. You will need to manually enter the correct scale size, preferable using one of the longer dimensions, and setting retain proportions on in the scale dialog.

Model size (with rails): X: 0.544099m, Y: 1.4665m , Z: 1.277mEG A 1/32 seat would be approx 39.90 mm in Z (1.277 / 32 = 0.03990625)

When printing, it is advised to keep Anti-aliasing low in smaller prints in order to better retain thin parts.
