Traverse earth whilst your time machine is broken with your very own 'Bessie'!
Painstakingly recreated at 1:6 Scale, this highly accurate and detailed model can be printed entirely with a filament printer at this scale as I have done myself in the pictures.
At nearly 60cm long, certain parts have had to be split and all individual parts will fit on a 250mm x 250mm bed.
The wheels on this model are not designed to turn as it is for display purposes, however the front wheels are able to pivot left and right. Please note, the rear fabric hood and upholstered chairs are not included in the files as they were handmade. I would recommend sculpting from milliput if you are not able to craft your own from leather.
Other aspects that are absent from the files due to printability issues are the leather belts retaining the windscreen and bonnet, along with the windscreen wiper. (Although printable belt buckles are included). You will also need:
6mm Rod for the steering shaft.3mm rod for the front wheel pivot, handbrake bar and gear stick.8mm tube for the rear axel.4mm Square rod for the lever under the steering wheel.2mm wire for completing the horn tube.
-Optional-1mm wire for the radiator overflow line.Fine wire to run up to the windscreen wiper motor.Ribbed Styrene sheet to replicate the black rubber grip present in the foot-wells and on the runners.
As you can see from the list above, this really is a model kit and requires some knowledge to finish it to a high standard.I would suggest that in order to obtain the high polish finish, you use a 2K spray primer (now available in a spray can from 'mipa'). A 2K primer will obscure print lines up to about 0.15mm layer height.
Included in the files are instructions for the layout of some of the more complex parts and parts you might miss, as well as printable decals for the number plates and dashboard instruments.
