If there is anything that defines the Japanese aesthetic, it is the unique combination of seemingly simple lines and intricate craftsmanship.‎ Dutch designer Roderik Vos used this age-old proverb for his SAN coffee tables.‎ Saw marks are visible on the oak veneer. is another quintessentially Japanese design feature dedicated to the material and the craftsmen who transform it.‎

San means three in Japanese. The three-dimensionality of these bunk tables is accentuated by the angle at which the top sits above the bottom shelf.‎ These angles are inspired by the art of origami (paper folding). allow you to create a wide range of interesting shapes using two or more SAN tables.‎
