If there is anything that defines the Japanese aesthetic, it is the unique combination of seemingly simple lines and intricate craftsmanship. Dutch designer Roderik Vos used this age-old proverb for his SAN coffee tables. Saw marks are visible on the oak veneer. is another quintessentially Japanese design feature dedicated to the material and the craftsmen who transform it.
San means three in Japanese. The three-dimensionality of these bunk tables is accentuated by the angle at which the top sits above the bottom shelf. These angles are inspired by the art of origami (paper folding). allow you to create a wide range of interesting shapes using two or more SAN tables.
