Description
Possibly Alexandre or Victor Pihouee (French, active 1860-1906), late 19th to early 20th century. Giltwood D form console table in the Louis XIV taste having a breccia marble top, egg and dart cornice with pierced scrolled foliatefrieze below, and rising on garland decorated console legs with cloven-hoof feet with guilloche carved stretcher with urn. Stamped Pihouee Guerin to the underside of frame. Approx. h. 30, w. 57, d. 22".
