Sicis Prestige Sofa - Uphostered in a procedural and easily adjustable leather material, Divina Melange by Kvadrat, and two scatter cushions in Rockport by Holly Hunt, and Ariane M1 Blanc by Lelièvre
Highly detailed and expertly modelled using a combination of Sub-D and hard-surface modelling.
Chamfer and Opensubdiv modifiers have been left in the modelling stack for easy editing and reduced file size.
Render engine: FStorm
Leather material: Procedural, complex and physically accurate leather created using FStorm's built in procedural maps, and one 8K tri-planar bitmap. The material stays tack-sharp at extreme close-ups and retains great detail at a distance. As the material is procedural it can be applied to non-UV mapped models (however the model is UV-unwrapped for use with other materials). The colour of the leather can be completely changed by simply adjusting one colour picker map. The scale of the leather grain can also be easily adjusted by scaling down the size of the FStorm noise maps.
Textured materials: Physically based and meticulously tweaked diffuse, gloss, IOR, bump and displacement maps.
Textures: Custom made, extremely detailed, tileable, 4&8K resolution.
Scene units: millimetres
File formats: 3D Studio Max 2020, FBX & OBJ.
Why FStorm and not Corona or other render engines? We previously used Corona for years and while it's good, it pales in comparison to the level of detail, photorealism and speed that can be achieved with FStorm. If you're using another render engine it should be fairly easy to convert the materials to your renderer of choice (or give the FStorm demo a spin and marvel at how great it is).
