I have a deep reverence for the elements that comprise the finished clay sculptures that I create: the earth from which the forms are created; the water that keeps the clay moist; the flame of the propane torch that heats the clay and catches each curve before it falls; and the air that dries and hardens the clay. All four elements come together in a mysterious symphony of energy to reveal the “spirit” of the porcelain.
