Description
This oversized multi-directional luminary is composed of twelve identical hemispherical Senegalese sweetgrass baskets assembled into a geometric ideal. Each basket is punctured by a single glowing daylight balanced bulb creating a striking and powerfully dynamic statement. Prototyped and developed as part of the Studio Museum exhibition, Stephen Burks Man Made, 2011.
