An instant design classic, the Monarchy stool (it looks like an inverted crown) follows your body's movements. As a desk companion or as an occasional seat for dining room, it is the classic solid wood stool upgraded within rocking capabilities.

Monarchy is a stool that allows the user to escape the dullness of ultimate stability, by swiveling and rocking sideways without being overturned. Apart from the fact that it has a crown-like shape, the stool’s name is an intentional contradiction to the stability that a monarchy regime is supposed to enforce. It’s convenient for occasional sitting or simply when an extra seat is needed. The user can change his orientation with a push of his legs, while reaching out for nearby objects is easy, simply by bending over and shifting his weight. The balancing process creates a playful user-object relationship and explores the idea that when seated, many people feel the need to be free from enforced bodily positions.
