New light leather victory lounge chair: leather and cast, burnished and patinated recycled magnesium-aluminum alloy made in Chicago, 2012/2016. A 2019 variation on the lounge chairs created for Victory at the Meadowlands in 2012-13. It is about 31” wide x 33.5” tall x 27”deep (79 cm x 85 cm x 68.5 cm). Provenance: collection of the artist. Process and materials The chair is made in Chicago. Hand carved sculptures of the legs and back bracket were manipulated digitally and then translated into molds used to cast 92% recycled aluminum-magnesium alloy into the exoskeleton of the chairs. The metals were burnished, welded together and then rubbed with elixirs to create a deep patina. Light leather upholstery.

The story Victory is a battleship-inspired restaurant at the Meadowlands sports arena. The architecture features 40’ high curved walls armored in 16 gauge hot-rolled steel: the details are inspired by the Machine Age.
