As part of an ongoing series of collaborations between international creatives and Japanese manufacturers, Toogood has drawn on the expertise of Okayama-based textile makers Takeyari to create a new series of modular seating. The ABCD collection consists of four large cushions shaped like the first four letters of the alphabet, which can be used as seats or combined and re-arranged to form deep, soft sofas and armchairs. All of these cushions are made from the high-quality canvas that Takeyari has been weaving since 1888, a fabric of unrivaled thickness and strength, thanks to the use of rare, antique shuttle looms.
